Website Developer
Apprenticeship Level 4
We are looking for a dynamic trainee website developer to support the building, and testing of, high-quality code across front end, logic and database layers. You will work as part of a team, in which you will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall project, leading to more complex projects as your skills develop. You will learn the art of software development while working on various live projects and to interpret design documentation and specifications.
The Website Developers core focus will be working on WordPress based websites, Bootstrap 4 based websites and expand into backend software development.

As our apprentice you will be part of a team that ensures we maintain a high customer-focused approach on a daily basis. The successful candidate will support our business through a range of activities, with full guidance and support.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Development of good quality code (logic) with sound syntax in at least one language
• Support the development of effective user interfaces
• Effectively link code to the database/data sets
• Support testing of code and analyse results and correct identified errors
• Develop simple data models and software designs
• Develop a good understanding of analysis artefacts, such as user cases and/or user stories
• Support the building, management and deployment of code into enterprise environments
• Take project instruction software designs and functional/technical specifications
• Operate across all stages of the software development lifecycle
